This is a view of a completely out of character plastic door that had been fitted to a terraced cottage. See the real thing in the adjacent image. This is the hardwood Wordsworth Door with Storey Frame which replaced the plastic door and brought the cottage back to the way it looked when it was built in 1902. The sealed unit glass pack fitted is called Fleur and the letter plate, knob and escutcheons are all in satin chrome. The coating is Dulux Weathershield.
This four panel hardwood Colonial door is fitted with a satin chrome letter plate plus a Yale lock and escutcheon cover for the dead lock all of which match those that were on the door they replaced.
An extra large custom made side gate with shaped top coated in Sadolin Antique Pine. The deadlock is fitted in a timber lock block and there are raised lock blocks for the Suffolk Latch.
These ‘Bead&Butt’ Cottage Doors were custom made in our workshop. The door is fitted with Anvil penny type hinges and Suffolk Latch. These doors are ideal for barn conversions and old cottages where the sizes are typically lower and wider than the doors of today – we can make them to suit any opening.
Custom made framed, ledged and braced door with aperture to take glass bullion. This extra wide but low door was made for a cottage in Rutland.
